Aircraft engines for every use
There are LIMBACH aircraft engines for private and commercial aviation. Accordingly, you have the choice from the 2-stroke to the electronically controlled 4-stroke engine. You will certainly find the suitable equipment. We are also happy to advise which engine is the correct one for you.
Sport & recreation aircraft
There are high requirements for performance and reliability in sport aviation. We have engines up to 118 kW (160 PS) as L 2400 DX – also with dual ignition of course. They are used in various sport aircraft today.
Quietness and low fuel consumption are mainly required for recreational aviation. Our L 2400 EF and ET injection models convert your aircraft into a comfortable travel machine. That is 100% flying pleasure!
Experimental aircraft
More and more experimental or kit aircraft such as the KRII, the Pottier P-180, P-220 and P-230, the Jodel D-18, the Sonerai II, the Menestrel I and II, the Cherry BX II, Dragonfly, Q-2 etc. are equipped with LIMBACH aircraft engines.
The products and services of the aircraft designers range from detail plans to the construction kit for the installation of a Limbach aircraft engine.
Ultralight Aircraft
Our engines are of course also used in ultralight aircraft. Biplanes such as the Kiebitz, machines from RANS, Voliamo or Asso can alternatively be fitted with our engines.
JAR – VLA aircraft
Due to their approval according to JAR 22 H, our engines in addition motorgliders are also qualified for aircraft according to JAR – VLA (Very Light Aircraft). Therefore we cover the largest part of the market for approved 2-seater aircraft.
Unmanned aircraft
Unmanned aviation with so-called drones is becoming increasingly important. Our range of 2-stroke engines boasts unrivalled power to weight ratios and is ideally suited for such applications. Unmanned aircraft were previously a domain of the military, but in the meantime there is also noticeable interest in civil aviation.
